Japan is a strategic growth market for CONTACT. As a Territory Technical Account Manager based in our Tokyo office, you will help establish and expand our presence by supporting customers, enabling partners, and driving the adoption of our PLM solutions. 

Working at the intersection of technology, business development, and partner management, you will act as the trusted technical advisor for the region and play a key role in shaping CONTACT's long-term growth strategy in Japan. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence global innovation through cutting-edge PLM solutions while building long-lasting relationships with customers and partners. 

To succeed in this role, you combine strong technical expertise with excellent account management skills and the ability to understand customer challenges, align business objectives, and translate requirements into value-driven PLM solutions. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive market growth and identify new business opportunities across Japan
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders 
  • Act as the technical advisor for customers and partners, aligning requirements with CONTACT's PLM solutions
  • Support account growth through solution adoption, new product introductions, and business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop territory strategies and drive revenue growth
  • Enable partners through technical training, customer engagements, and solution demonstrations
  • Translate customer needs into tailored solution concepts and provide technical presales support
  • Coordinate with internal teams and share market insights to support customer success and product development 

Your Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification
  • 3–5 years of experience in the PLM industry, ideally in Technical Account Management, Presales, Solution Consulting, or a similar customer-facing role
  • Strong knowledge of PLM, PDM, engineering software, or related enterprise software solutions
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and support market growth
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and larger audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Passion for enabling customers and partners through training, coaching, and technical guidance
  • Comfortable working in an international environment and collaborating across cultures and time zones 
  • B2-Level and above in English  
    C2-Level in Japanese
  • Willingness to travel within Japan and internationally when required
  • Residence in Tokyo required
