We are looking for a curious, ambitious Junior Business Development Specialist (m/f/d) / Junior Sales Development Representative (m/f/d) to join our sales team in Pune and help drive growth across India. 

You’ll become part of a Germany-headquartered, globally active industrial software company that supports manufacturing companies on their digital transformation journeys with cutting-edge PLM, MES and Industrial IoT solutions. 

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in enterprise software sales, learn from experienced sales professionals, and work with customers in exciting industries such as automotive, machinery, energy, manufacturing, and high-tech engineering.

Your Responsibilities

As part of our fast-growing sales organization, you will: 

  • Research and qualify manufacturing companies and engineering organizations across India
  • Identify the right contacts and decision-makers within target accounts
  • Establish first relationships with prospects via phone, email, and digital channels
  • Follow up on inbound leads from campaigns, events, and webinars
  • Spot early sales opportunities and pass them to our Field Sales colleagues
  • Learn how complex B2B deals in industrial software work—from first call to closing
  • Collaborate with internal teams like Pre-Sales, Delivery, Product, and Leadership
  •  Become an expert in exciting topics like:
    • Digital product development (PLM)
    • Smart manufacturing systems (MES)
    • Industrial IoT platforms
    • Industry 4.0 strategies 

Your Profile

You don’t need decades of experience — we’ll train you. 
What matters most: 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English
  • Enjoyment of talking to people and building professional relationships
  • Curious mindset and interest in technology, industry, and digitalization
  • Willingness to work across Indian and German time zones
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a complex B2B environment
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized
  • First-hand experience in sales, customer service, or telemarketing is a plus—but not mandatory
  • Basic IT or business knowledge is helpful (ERP, CAD, PLM, CRM, etc.) 
  • Experience or interest in PLM, MES, IoT, manufacturing, or engineering processes is a strong advantage
  • High motivation and a proactive, “let’s make it happen” attitude
  • Willingness to travel within India and internationally when required
  • Residence in Pune required
